Chilis originate from Mexico and were discovered by Christopher's Columbus during his search for pepper. It was him who brought Chilies to Europe.

Chilies belong to the family of the nightshades. There exist more than a hundred and fifty of this kind. The plant grows up to 60 cm and carries white flowers. The Scoville units depend on the climate and the time of maturation. Chilies can be anything between green, Orange- yellow, red and black.

The Habanero Chili is the hottest existing Chili.
